Dr. Wickersham has had a huge positive effect on my life. Having dealt with rheumatoid arthritis since the age of 21 I am blessed to have had him managing my treatment for almost 20 years. He is caring and concerned, spends time answering all your questions, gives you options and advice and listens carefully to your thoughts and concerns. He also has the most efficient office staff I have ever experienced who are kind, friendly and helpful. A rare experience in today’s medical world!

First time to see DPN Alison and was very pleased. I would expect nothing less from an assistant to whom Dr Wickersham refers his patients. Alison is personable, professional, and thorough. She reviewed my labs, answered questions, and I left feeling well served. Thank you.

Dr Wickersham is awesome. Appointments with NPs at this office feels like a waste of time. They do not familiarize themselves with my record. They do not seem knowledgeable beyond basic assessment skills. If they were my only point of contact with this office, I would not recommend them.

Dr. Rosenberg is always so attentive & wants to know what’s going on with my general health, too, not just those symptoms that apply to Rheumatology. We discussed a letter I had gotten from my Rx Insurance suggesting that I switch from the very same strength & dosage of Tramadol I’ve been taking for over 30 years now to a recommended non-opioid, but 2 of the 3 medications they suggested for my severe osteoarthritis/fibromyalgia/degenerative spine disease turned out to be opioids, too, & much stronger & addictive than what I’m on already. Seems like these insurance companies don’t always know what they’re talking about! I told him I’m having a Trial Spinal Cord Implanted for a week on next Thursday with the actual SPI Surgery to happen soon thereafter . There’s a company called Nevro that will allow me to have 2 separate implants - 1 going up & 1 going down the spine (out of 24 vertebrae, my latest MRI revealed that I only have 4 undamaged vertebrae, but with mild osteoporosis, so you can see why I actually need 2 SPIs!), each with its own control that won’t interfere with the other control. They work off very high frequencies & each controller will be set to a different frequency receiver - sort of like different frequencies that emergency responders have. I’ll also be coming back in 2 months & unfortunately won’t be able to see him, but I bet Dr. Rosenberg’s P.A. is top notch, too, to get a script for PT to work on bilateral neck/shoulder/scapula pain & bursitis at the very top junction of my deltoid muscles & shoulders, bilaterally & then see Dr. R again in January of next year. But yesterday, he did give me steroid injections in those areas + L5-S1 to help with my lower back pain & severe bilateral sciatica, which is made worse bc I have a giant Neuroma/Tarlov Cysts that has never been drained & so is pressing on the nerves of my lower back. We also went through my Pharmacy App to determine which prescriptions need refills & those will be called in by his nurse. Then not only did I leave a required urine sample, but he also ordered a Lipid Panel, & either a CMP or a CBC (I don’t know which). He did that because I told him that I had fired my Cardiologist & was waiting to be seen by UT Health Cardiology, but I just realized they were going to get back to me after reviewing my records & it’s been more than 2 months since then & initial appointments are usually at least 3-4 months out to be scheduled. I’ll be needing a Pre-Surgical Screening before the SCI Surgeries, especially because I have Mitral Valve Prolapse & Long QT Syndrome & would also appreciate a Chemical Stress Text be performed, too. I think that covers all the bases. I always try to get his last appointment & appreciate his staying later than usual to accommodate me. I told him I was going to go on ALL the doctor evaluation websites & brag at how he’s the best doctor of all my other doctors (& I have a lot of Specialists besides a Family Practice Doctor, so that’s high praise as they’re ALL excellent, but don’t quite measure up to the care Dr. Rosenberg provides). I also told him after seeing an award dated 2009/2019(?) for Most Compassionate Doctor that I was going to google how to nominate him again for the next upcoming award! I’m so glad he hasn’t retired completely; I’d be lost without his medical expertise!
